State BJP vice president Bernard Marak has been remanded once again to police custody for six days on the charges against him under Sections 109, 110, 120, 120B, 121 and 121A of IPC and also Sections 4 and 5 of Explosive Substances Act, 1908.
Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tura today passed an order remanding Marak to six-day police custody on the plea by the investigating officer who said that interrogation of the BJP leader was needed regarding the explosives found at his farmhouse in Edenbari, Tura.
Marak had spent 14 days in Tura police lock up since he was arrested on July 28.
Yesterday, he got some relief as he was remanded to judicial custody by the Chief Judicial Magistrate. However, the relief was short lived as he was again remanded to police custody.
It may be mentioned that the explosives were found in one of the rooms at Bernard’s farmhouse six days after the police raid at the farmhouse on July 22.
According to police, during the search at the premises on July 28, they found one small door-like structure and when they broke open the door, they found 35 Gelatin sticks, 100 detonators, four cross bows and 15 arrows.
