Travelling on the potholed and muddy Chokpot-Khakiza Road is a nightmarish experience for the residents of the area.
A resident, D Chamb Marak, shared photographs today that show the full horror of the situation.
According to Marak, the bus service to Tura cannot negotiate the 7km road and school vans get stuck, causing problems for students. Villagers have often complained to the authorities, including Sub-Divisional Officer and local representatives, but nothing has been done.
