Meghalaya Tourism won the ‘Best Promotion in Rural Tourism’ award at the India International Travel Mart in Bangalore today.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma congratulated the Tourism Department and stakeholders involved.
The award was received by Surajit Basu, Assistant Liaison Officer in the Tourism Department, and representatives of tour operators.
Earlier this month, Meghalaya was named as the ‘Most Promising New Destination’ at the Travel and Tourism Fair, Hyderabad.
