Sngap Syiem College Principal, Dr Kyntiewkupar Nongsiej was awarded the ‘Top 10 Best Principals of India’ award during the National Education Brilliance Award 2022 (NEBA-2022) in New Delhi.
The award was presented to Nongsiej on May 15 by Hypedge Media in association with Education Connect Plus Magazine. The award is a distinguished gesture to honour phenomenal educationalists whose heart-wrenching stories are etched inside every individual’s mind across the education arena.
Awards were given in different categories to teachers, doctors, engineers, administrators and various institutions from different fields.
Nongsiej was first selected as a guest lecturer at the college in 2005. The governing body of the college then appointed him as a full-fledged lecturer the next year until he took over as the principal this year after the retirement of Dr. S.S. Khongkhliam.
Under his leadership as the Programme Officer of the defunct National Service Scheme (NSS) of college was revived and bagged an award. As the Secretary of College Campus Development Committee Nongsiej the college was able to get its own 22 acre land for construction of a new college campus.
