Employees of the State-owned Mawmluh Cherra Cements Limited (MCCL) have given a 15-day deadline to the management to concede to their three major demands.
The Mawmluh Cherra Cements Employees Union (MCCEU) in a letter to MCCL managing director today demanded “normal salary” to all employees till the cement factory at Mawmluh, Sohra functions normally and also to clear all pending dues to employees immediately as assured by the State government.
It also demanded speedy and normal functioning of the factory and golden handshake scheme to employees who are willing and who have opted for the same since it was introduced in 2017.
The MCCEU also urged the managing director to respond positively to the demands.
“If there is no clear cut indication regarding solving the demands, the union will be forced to resort to a very serious course of agitation,” it warned.
