South Shillong MLA, Sanbor Shullai today dedicated the newly constructed and widened road at Lumshatsngi Kenchs Trace sanctioned under the Special Plan Assistance PWD scheme.
The road constructed at Rs 1.45 crore starts near the main gate of Sankardev College and connects New Kenchs Trace and Lawsohtun.
Rangbah shnong Kyrsoi Bok Nongbri and members of the dorbar shnong and other local leaders lauded the initiative and sustained efforts of Shullai for bringing various developmental schemes from various departments which has fulfilled the long aspiration of the people of Lumshatsngi Kenches Trace in particular and the constituency in general.
The inauguration function was also attended by officials of PWD, traffic police, members of Srimantha Sankardev cultural centre, members of MCIC 19th South Shillong, leaders of BJP South Shillong Mondal and the residents of the locality.
Members of the Srimantha Sankardev cultural centre were also felicitated on the occasion for donating land free of cost for widening of the road.
