NPP youth leader and former student leader, Aldo A Sangma has been appointed as a nominated member to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council.
The notification of the appointment was released by District Council Affairs (DCA) Department today. The nomination was based on the recommendation of the GHADC members and forwarded through the Governor of Meghalaya, as per the notification.
Sangma graduated from St. Anthony’s College, Shillong and did his masters in Political Science from IGNOU. He was also the former president of the Garo Students Union, Khasi Hills zone from 2005 to 2007 and spearheaded the protests in Khasi Hills for the student body during the MBOSE agitation.
