The Hynñiewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) has written to the Director of Health and Family Welfare and sought attention towards infrastructural development of health centres in the Jaiñtia Hills region.
Stating that as per a spot inspection carried out by the organisation to few health centres in the Jaiñtia Hills, HITO in the letter pointed out that there were several discrepancies found at Pring Ioksi Primary Health Centre.
The organisation said there is a need step up growth in the health centres for the welfare of the public and that manpower should be enhanced to enable the health centres to serve the people.
