The Meghalaya SSA Schools Association (MSSASA) today submitted a reminder letter to the state government through the Secretary of Education concerning the remaining three months of salary arrears.
On November 16, a delegation of the association had a meeting with Education Secretary Ambrose Ch Marak to discuss the matter of salaries before Christmas.
“Since the matter is pending and given the Christmas festival, we are writing once again to request the state government through the Secretary of Education to take appropriate actions for release the remaining three months salary for August, September and October 2021 on or before December 20, 2021, failing which the state government will compel us (SSA teachers) to go for a ‘non-cooperation movement’ in any activities being asked to performed by the government in school and also other duties engaged and assigned to SSA teachers which are not linked to education from December 21, 2021 onwards till the state government pays the remaining salary,” Aristotle C Rymbai, MSSASA president said in a statement.
