The St. Joseph’s Socio-Cultural Organisation (SSCO), Laitkor Parish yesterday unveiled the bust of Rev. Fr. Sylvanus Sngi Lyngdoh, SDB.
It may be reminded that Rev. Fr. Sylvanus Sngi Lyngdoh, SDB popularly known as Father Sngi passed away on May 28, 2016.
He was a Catholic priest, a missionary, an author and a thinker whose works during his lifetime was to uplift the indigenous society.
Others present during the unveiling of the bust included Nongkrem MLA and MDC Lambor Malngiang, Provincial, Salesian Province, Shillong Fr. Orphindro Lyngkot, SDB, Parish Priest Fr. Raphael Maiong, SDB and other Catholic priests.
During the function, Malngiang handed over a computer to St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Laitkor.
