With Meghalaya having reopened to tourism and new flights opening up between Shillong and other North East destinations, like Aizawl and Dibrugarh, Umroi Airport, the nearest to the state capital, saw over 400 passengers go through it on Saturday.
According to Airports Authority of India data, four scheduled flights operated that day, with 253 passengers arriving at Umroi and a further 168 departing for a total of 421.
The highest figure for the airport was 438 recorded on October 23.
