The Garo Students’ Union (GSU), Siju regional unit has written to the DMHO, South Garo Hills district seeking the repair of the Siju PHC, which they found to be in a completely dilapidated condition during their recent visit.
The letter, which was sent recently, has sought the immediate renovation of the PHC serving thousands of people around the area on a daily basis.
“This lone PHC has been the backbone for providing medical services for decades but the infrastructure is in a dilapidated state. The main building as well as the staff quarters are in bad shape and require urgent repairs or it will pose a threat to people coming to the PHC,” said president, Ralseng Marak.
Marak, through the letter to the DMHO has sought immediate repairs to the infrastructure to ensure people of the area are benefitted.
