The escort vehicles of Meghalaya Governor Satyapal Malik were attacked with stones at Mawlai today evening.
According to police sources, the motorcade was returning from Guwahati airport after dropping Governor to the airport.
Police sources also said stones were pelted at the motorcade at the main road in Mawlai area at around 4 pm.
Two police escort vehicles and two official cars of the Raj Bhawan were damaged in the attack.
