Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui today launched the National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers for Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA) 2.0, an integrated training programme for secondary and higher secondary teachers of Meghalaya, here.
Addressing the gathering, Rymbui urged the teaching fraternity to take part in the online training programme, which the government hopes will benefit the teachers in the future. He also said that one of the most important requirements to promote and strengthen education is the training of teachers, who are the key resources in the reform, redirection and renewal of education.
Other dignitaries present included Education Secretary A Ch Marak and Deputy Director of Educational Research and Training PB Lartang.
