BJP legislator and newly inducted cabinet minister Sanbor Shullai has been allotted his portfolios by the chief minister today.
However, the Health and Family Welfare portfolio which was earlier held by his party colleague A L Hek was not given to him.
Shullai got Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Art and Culture, Labour, Home (Passport) and Prisons.
The portfolio of Health and Family Welfare was given to Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong apart from his existing portfolios.
Shullai who took oath as minister on July 27 replaced Hek in the cabinet.
The surprise dropping of Hek from the cabinet has upset him since according to him he was never informed about the same either by the chief minister or State BJP leadership.
However, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that Shullai was inducted in the cabinet on the request by the BJP.
To make things clearer, State BJP president Ernest Mawrie was present at the oath taking ceremony of Shullai as minister in the Raj Bhavan.
