The War Jaiñtia circle of the Federation of Khasi, Jaiñtia and Garo People (FKJGP) has met with the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Ltd (MeECL) assistant executive engineer in charge of the Amlarem region on the issue of electricity bills that have supposedly been inflated.
The FKJGP has received complaints from the public that bills have doubled or ballooned even further for consumers, putting them in grave difficulty.
The FKJGP said that the assistant executive engineer has promised to look into the matter.
