Twenty-eight high risks persons who were in contact with Chief Minister Conrad Sangma were traced all of whom were tested negative from the Covid-19 virus.
“A total of 28 high risk contacts have been traced. However, so far no one has turned out to be positive,” Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War told reporters on Saturday.
Refusing to divulge more, Dr War said, “There are politicians, bureaucrats, office staff, NGOs, Dorbar Shnongs including family members of the CM.”
The Chief Minister was tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday and all high risk contacts have been asked to go for home isolation.
Meanwhile, Governor Satya Pal Malik, his staff and Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong also tested negative for Covid-19.
