South Shillong MLA, Sanbor Shullai extended financial assistance and household materials to ten families of Lumparing who are landslide victims due to incessant and heavy rainfall that occurred recently.
An amount of Rs. 1,10,000 has been sanctioned and distributed to the landslide victims under the MLA Discretionary Grant of the year 2020-21 at a programme held yesterday at Lumsohphoh Community Hall, Upper Lumparing here.
The gathering was also attended by H B Wahlang, Rangbah Shnong of Upper Lumparing, Shaiphar Wahlang, Rangbah Shnong of Kynjat Phutbol, N G Dey president, A Das secretary and Shibu Das joint secretary of Lumparing Welfare Society and members of MCIC 19th South Shillong Constituency.
The gathering ended with the vote of thanks and prayer service conducted by Testwell Nongdhar, president of MCIC, 19 South Shillong Constituency, Lumparing Unit.
