Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik underwent a fourth test for coronavirus and once again received the all-clear.
This was informed by Secretary to the Governor, Pravin Bakshi today.
Malik was tested today and found to be negative.
He had taken a Covid test three times since becoming the new Governor and returned negative results on all three occasions.
Meanwhile, Bakshi said that all 59 active Covid-19 cases in Raj Bhavan, comprising officers, staff, attendants, drivers and security personnel are “all fine and asymptomatic.”
These personnel had tested positive during three rounds of testing on September 11, 13 and 17.
“They will also be re-tested accordingly per existing testing protocols of the Health and Family Welfare Department,” Bakshi added.
Meghalaya today recorded 103 new Covid cases with 30 recoveries taking the total active cases to 2111 and that of recovered to 2513.
It may be mentioned that 36 persons have died from Covid-19 so far in the State.
