Shillong, Oct 26: Over 50 members of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) have been summoned so far in connection with the August 19 bike rally, with four appearing before police on Monday.
Former KSU General Secretary Donald V Thabah said their statements were recorded and they were not arrested. They have been asked to appear again on October 28 and 30 to cooperate with the investigation.
Thabah said police are verifying presence during the rally and there is no evidence of involvement in violence so far. Some members have been called twice.
Three members — one CEC leader and two from Shillong Mihngi Circle — remain lodged in Shillong District Jail.
