Shillong, Aug 27: The Meghalaya government has issued an alert for residents possibly stranded in Nepal after flash floods and mudslides in Rasuwa district near the Nepal-Tibet border.
The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has asked families, tour operators and travel agencies to report if anyone from Meghalaya in Nepal is missing or uncontactable.
Information can be shared on helpline 6009924512 or emergency numbers 112 / 1070 and CM Connect 1971, with name, age, Meghalaya address, last known location in Nepal and last contact date.
Details will be shared with concerned authorities for assistance, SDMA said.
