Shillong, Aug 11: Ri Bhoi police recovered the body of an unidentified man from the parking area beside J. Marbaniang Petrol Pump, Themmarwet under Khanapara Police Station on August 6.
According to police, enquiries at the spot did not yield any information about the deceased. A vehicle key, suspected to be of a Tata Magic, was found on him. Drivers of Tata Magic vehicles plying on G.S. Road were contacted, but none could identify him.
The deceased is described as a male, aged between 20-35 years, approximately 172 cm tall. He appears to be non-tribal and has tattoos on both sides of the right arm and on the chest. He was wearing a brown T-shirt, white vest, leather belt and dark blue jeans with “Reebok” brand and black lace. He had trimmed black hair, beard and moustache.
After completion of legal formalities, the body was shifted to the Morgue Room of Civil Hospital, Nongpoh for post-mortem examination.
