Shillong, Jun 24: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), a right-wing student organisation affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will celebrate its foundation day with a ‘National Students Day Marathon’ on July 9
The marathon, themed “Run for Unity,” will bring students aged 16 to 30 together, fostering pride, purpose, and national inspiration, ABVP State Secretary Bomsing Khongtir said.
The event will kick off at 5:30 am, with the marathon starting at 6:30 am from the parking lot at Additional Secretariat, Central Library, Barik Point.
Runners will traverse through Malki Point, Don Bosco Square, Shillong College, and MBODE before returning to the starting point.
The marathon offers enticing cash prizes for both boys and girls categories: ₹5000 for the 1st prize, ₹3000 for the 2nd, and ₹1500 for the 3rd. All participants will receive certificates.
