Shillong, Jun 12: The Chief Engineer of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department informed today that there will be a shutdown of the Greater Shillong Water Supply Scheme for a period of 8 hours on June 15, 2026, from 10am to 6pm due to the replacement of pumping machinery at the Stage 1 and Stage 2 pumping stations.
During this period, there will be no water supply to Shillong city and its adjoining areas. Every effort shall be made to restore and resume the water supply to the public at the earliest possible time, a release stated.
