Shillong, Jun 3: The West Khasi Hills district police declared one Starfull Rongrin of Umdang Dong Block, Shallang a proclaimed offender in a rape case under the POCSO Act.
According to a public notice issued on Wednesday, the police said this was in compliance with an order passed by the Special (POCSO) Court, Nongstoiñ.
The trial of the person will commence in his absence under the provision of Section 356 BNSS, if he fails to appear within 30 days, the notice added.
