Shillong, May 23: Adarsh Singh, a Class X student of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Umroi Cantonment brought pride to the school and the state by successfully participating in the prestigious Yuva Vigyani Karyakram (YUVIKA-2026) organised by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
The programme, held from May 11 to May 22, 2026, is crafted to inspire young minds towards exploring space science and technology.
Adarsh Singh was also a part of the project team that secured first prize for the presentation titled, “Detection and Analysis of Earth’s Dynamic Movements Through the Eyes of Satellites.” The project highlighted the role of satellite technology in monitoring and analysing changes occurring on Earth.
The YUVIKA initiative provides a unique platform for students to delve into space applications, satellite technology, and scientific innovation.
The school fraternity has expressed happiness and appreciation for the accomplishment and extended gratitude to ISRO and North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) for providing valuable learning opportunities to young minds.
