Shillong, May 19: Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Wailadmiki Shylla today informed that the state government’s estimate for the National Games 2027 will be around Rs 600 crore.
Shylla said that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the state’s hosting rights will be renewed on May 30 during a three-day meeting of Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Union Minister of State Raksha Nikhil Khadse.
The Sports Minister also informed that the preparation for the National Games is going well, with officials from the central government and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) making periodic visits to review the preparation and have been satisfied with the progress.
