Shillong, May 18: The global movement of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2026 was observed in Meghalaya on Sunday, hosted by Caferacers of Shillong for the second consecutive time.
The event witnessed more than 150 riders from across Meghalaya, who came together in classic vintage style and camaraderie to support a meaningful cause, namely to raise awareness on men’s mental health and prostate cancer research.
Health Minister Wailadmiki Shylla was present as the chief guest. Also present was renowned psychiatrist Dr Sandy Syiem and Superintendent of Police (Traffic), East Khasi Hills, Lovish Garg, who addressed the gathering on the importance of responsible riding and road safety awareness.
In his address, Shylla lauded the efforts of the organisers for bringing together the riding community in support of important health-related causes and highlighted the significance of spreading awareness regarding mental health and early screening for prostate cancer.
Dr Syiem spoke on the growing importance of conversations surrounding men’s mental health, encouraging individuals to seek support and promote emotional well-being within communities.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a global charity movement that unites classic and vintage-style motorcycle riders around the world to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health initiatives.
