Shillong, May 15: The East Jaiñtia Hills administration is gearing up for the house listing operation for Census 2027, which is set to begin tomorrow till June 14.
Residents have been urged to provide genuine information to enumerators to facilitate accurate data collection and cautioned against spreading rumours, holding superstitious beliefs, or withholding information, that could affect the government’s development initiatives.
The Deputy Commissioner-cum-Principal Census Officer said the self enumeration process through the HLO App will close at 12 midnight today. Those who have completed the process have been asked to be ready with their self enumeration number for verification.
Additionally, tenants from other villages are to ensure they report to their respective enumeration sites. Traditional heads have been urged to notify their communities about the operation to ensure full cooperation with enumerators.
