Editor,
A recent PIB release said, “The existing refill booking timelines remain unchanged and continue to be: 25 days in urban areas, and 45 days in rural areas, irrespective of connection type.” But several LPG distributors showed screenshots from invoice systems and booking apps to reporters suggesting a 35-day gap for deliveries in urban areas instead of 25. I booked an LPG cylinder on 10 April and got the delivery on 18 April. In its delivery SMS, Indane said, “Next available booking date is 14-MAY-2026.” Given my earlier booking on 10 April, next available booking date 14 May means a 35-day gap in urban areas is being followed. Why is there such a mismatch and confusion?
