Shillong, Apr 16: The election committee of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) has finalised the list of contestants for the upcoming general body elections, with the president, vice-president and general secretary set to be elected unopposed.
Raymond Kharjana, a graduate in Computer Applications, will be the new president, replacing Lambokstarwell Marngar, while Reuben Anderson Najiar, a law graduate, is set to take the place of Donald Thabah as general secretary.
Pynkmenlang Sanmiet, a research scholar of Law, will be the new vice-president.
All three already hold posts in the KSU, with Kharjana the organising secretary, Sanmiet the education secretary and Najiar the assistant general secretary.
The rest of the executive committee posts will be decided at the election, which is scheduled for May 9, 2026 at Dinam Hall, Jaiaw, here.
