Shillong, Apr 13: The two-day MY Bharat Budget Quest 2026 – North Eastern Regional event in Shillong concluded today.
On the final day Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, connected with youth participants from across all North Eastern states in a virtual interaction.
Addressing the young participants, the Union Minister encouraged them to actively engage in nation-building, policy discussions and innovation-driven development. He emphasised the importance of youth as the driving force behind the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and urged them to contribute ideas and solutions aligned with the Union Budget priorities.
The programme was also attended by state Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Wailadmiki Shylla, who motivated the youth to take full advantage of platforms like Budget Quest and highlighted the state government’s commitment towards youth development, including budget allocations for youth-centric initiatives.
Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, organized the two-day Youth Dialogue at the U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong, as part of a nationwide initiative spanning 17 locations and engaging over 15,000 youth across the country.
The second day featured experts including Albert Chiang, Wanshan Kharkrang, Akhilesh Singh and Naba Bhattacharjee, who deliberated on sustainable development, environmental conservation and the role of youth in building a greener India.
Another panel discussion comprised Michael Makri, Audrey Khonglam and Benjamin Langdoh, who discussed the importance of education, skill development and employment generation in harnessing India’s demographic dividend.
