Shillong, Apr 6: A child about 10 years of age died in an accident along the Shillong-Guwahati highway near Mahari Petrol Pump today, after his bicycle collided with a pickup truck.
The child was reportedly riding without brakes downhill and crashed behind the loaded pickup truck bearing registration number ML 05 AA 9263.
Sources said the child is a resident of Dymmiew Mawprem Sngithiang.
Police are investigating the incident.
