Shillong, Mar 31: A total of 32 Integrated Village Cooperative Societies (IVCS), with 168 participants, attended a one-day workshop on sustainability and financial viability organised by the District Project Management Unit (DPMU) under the Meghalaya Basin Management Agency (MBMA) at BADO MFC Hall, Ampati.
The workshop focused on strengthening institutional performance and ensuring long-term sustainability through improved credit linkage and financial planning.
Key sessions covered rural finance, gender sensitisation, group presentations, and interactive discussions among IVCS representatives. A monitoring team also conducted a session on monthly reporting and data collection to enhance accountability and operational efficiency.
Participants actively engaged in brainstorming exercises and shared experiences, highlighting challenges and success stories from their respective IVCS units.
