Shillong, Mar 28: The Dorbar Shnong Lawjynriew celebrated its 150th anniversary with a grand ceremony, marking a significant milestone in its history.
The occasion was marked by the inauguration of the centenary building and the unveiling of the official mascot.
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma attended the event and announced a contribution of Rs 30 lakhs from the Chief Minister’s Special Development Fund to commemorate the occasion.
He acknowledged the support and cooperation extended by various dorbar shnong during the COVID-19 pandemic and law and order challenges.
The chief minister also unveiled several dorbar shnong projects of Lawjynriew, emphasising the government’s efforts to improve facilities in various localities.
