Shillong, Mar 17: The body of an unidentified man was recovered from a betel nut farm at Thwailangtuk, Donaskur village, near the NH 6 in East Jaintia Hills on March 13, police said today.
The man, aged between 35-40 years old is suspected to be a non-tribal. He was wearing a green T-Shirt, white vest and a black pant.
An inquest was conducted on the spot. The body was then taken to the Civil Hospital Khliehriat for post-mortem examination.
Police have called for identification and claims.
