Shillong, Mar 17: The Khliehriat circle of the Federation of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) has complained to the authorities in East Jaintia Hills over visitors drinking alcohol in public tourist spots, which is proving to be a nuisance to the general public.
Locals and non-locals indulge in such anti-social activities, the FKJGP claimed even in the presence of other visitors, such as families with children.
The pressure group requested that the district authorities take action and implement measures to curb this practice.
