So even after almost 3 years, Manipur’s ethnic/racial/communal fire refuses to die with the latest horror coming through the spine-chilling murder of the innocent Meitei man M Rishikanta Singh for his “sin” of visiting his Kuki wife in Churachandpur district!
What started under the regime of that much zealously boasted “Double Engine” continues to display its fatal fang even after almost one year of President’s Rule i.e. under direct control of the Union government!
So apart from more than 260 deaths with 60000 people displaced, thereby assaulting their right over livelihood and education too; situation has attained such a pass that mixed Meitei-Kuki-Zo couples can’t visit each other in private capacity too, else be prepared to sacrifice your life! Not to forget the innumerable women gangraped across the state with 2 Kuki women paraded naked during the height of the arson and the very recent tragic death of the 21-year-old Kuki-Zo woman due to medical complications and mental trauma following the brutal gangrape upon her in Imphal 2 years 8 months ago! May I ask whether the “Collective Conscience” of the nation and that of the saffronites have gone for a toss with hardly anybody coming up with even a murmur protesting this tragedy! Do all norms of “Collective Conscience” of the nation remain reserved for the cases like RG Kar Hospital so that TMC Mamata Banerjee and West Bengal can be taken to the task!
And even after such a blatant failure and callousness on the part of the Manipur administration (directly controlled by New Delhi); how dare the Who’s Who of the BJP and Central dispensation invade West Bengal at the drop of a hat, character-assassinate the state as “lawless” with TMC supposed to operate “Raj” of “Maha Jungle”!
Instead of poking into the internal affairs of West Bengal; the saffronites must learn to have a look at the medieval “Might is Right” state of affairs prevalent in several “Double Engine” states, Union Territories (Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi) and Manipur (which is still segregated into two defacto “Foreign countries” of sorts under President’s Rule).
The saffron-colored “Empty Vessels” i.e. the followers of Goebbels policy must concentrate in cleaning up its own Racist Communal Lawless Filthy backyard first instead of uttering sound at the highest possible decibel so as to project West Bengal in a demeaning light.
