Shillong, Dec 4: The Bridgeway Minds Service Centre, a community-based mental health initiative, will conduct a winter workshop for children and adolescents from December to January, 2026.
The workshop is open to children and adolescents aged 5 to 17 years divided in two batches—December 8 to 20 and January 5-January 16 from 11am to 1pm on weekdays.
Themed, ‘Happy Hearts, Happy Minds’, the winter workshop will focus on helping children look beyond life’s challenges and develop emotional resilience, self-awareness, and inner happiness. The program aims to equip young minds with the tools they need to cope with stress, navigate emotions, and build confidence, the centre said.
The Bridgeway Minds has urged parents to send their children and teenagers, as an increasing number of children and teens are facing significant emotional and mental health difficulties. “Early support plays a crucial role in shaping long-term well-being,” the centre said.
Dedicated to strengthening mental health awareness, early intervention, and counselling access for children and adolescents across Meghalaya, the centre continues to work actively through school outreach, summer workshops, parent support groups, and basic counselling skills training to build a community-led system of psychological support and care.
