Shillong, Nov 28: Two more global sensations—Blue, the iconic British pop-R&B boy band and Julian Marley, internationally acclaimed reggae artist and son of music legend Bob Marley—has been added to perform at the Me’gong Festival, 2025 in Tura.
They will perform alongside previously announced headliners, pop-rock luminary Richard Marx and world-famous electronic duo Yellow Claw.
This expanded roster marks one of the most diverse and dynamic lineups curated for the two-day festival, blending global icons with celebrated Indian performers and local talent.
In addition to the international acts, the festival will also feature Bollywood stars Kanika Kapoor and Neeti Mohan, adding a powerful contemporary Indian music presence to the stage.
The festival continues its tradition of spotlighting local excellence with an impressive lineup of homegrown artists, including Rough Road, Hoi Hoi Makbil, Haystack Ladies, G-Hills Finest, Crack Gang, and Ahaia, ensuring a rich musical tapestry that brings together global rhythms and Garo Hills’ cultural identity.
With Richard Marx, Yellow Claw, Blue, Julian Marley, Kanika Kapoor, Neeti Mohan, and the region’s finest local bands all taking the stage, Me’gong Festival from December 5 to 6 is set to deliver a two-day celebration of global artistry, indigenous heritage, and community spirit transforming Tura into a cultural powerhouse.
Me’gong Festival is one of Meghalaya’s landmark cultural showcases, celebrating the rich traditions of the Garo community through music, indigenous art, local crafts, culinary attractions, and immersive cultural experiences.
The 2025 edition is expected to draw thousands of visitors from across the country, creating meaningful opportunities for local artisans, entrepreneurs, businesses, and the tourism ecosystem of the Garo Hills.
The 2024 edition recorded over 3 lakh visitors across two days that featured iconic Swedish rock band Europe.
