Shillong, Nov 26: Three suspects have been arrested for allegedly killing a Karbi villager during a clash at Lapangap village along the Assam-Meghalaya border in West Jaiñtia Hills district on October 9.
The accused have been identified as Pyrchang Dkhar (25) of Lapangap, Everyshine Tyngkan (25) of Saba, and Deibormi Bhoi Lamare (27) of Barato-B in West Jaintia Hills.
The clash erupted between residents of neighbouring Tapat village in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district and Lapangap farmers over harvesting of paddy.
A Karbi man, Orivel Tinumg (45) of Tahpat village was killed during the clash.
