Shillong, Oct 5: Hindi language week was celebrated at NEIGRIHMS from September 15 to 22.
NEIGRIHMS organised various events and activities with a range of literary and cultural programmes to promote Hindi as per the central government’s guidelines. Competitions such as Hindi dictation, poetry recitation, singing and Hindi memory test were organised to promote the use of Hindi in daily official work. NEIGRIHMS faculty, staff and students participated enthusiastically in various activities organised as a part of week-long celebration.
BDR Tiwari, Principal Secretary to the Governor and Chief Electoral Officer, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony where he distributed certificates and prizes to the winners of the various competitions.
