Editor,
The health sector has been gradually transforming from the local community level upto a level of marked improvement notwithstanding which Minister was in charge of this department. We remember that during the Covid period from ASHAs to ICDS workers to nurses, specialists doctors and others in the entire chain had put their lives on the line not to forget religious bodies and local dorbar institutions.
The entire patient care services are concentrated within each sub-centres, primary health centres to community health centres upto the main Civil Hospital. An example to this are nurses, nursing assistants, doctors to even the ones in-charge of day to day cleaning, management etc. are doing a tremendous job at every health centre, however there are a lot of major improvements that will be needed to be improved in the coming future. It was also under Dr. Aman War and his team that witnessed challenges and solutions in the entire health sector, our state needs better fund infusion, transparent management, priority investment, better trained and professional manpower and adding more modern equipment. We hope the state health department comes up with a patient centric policy and less consumerism or commercialisation.
