Shillong, Sep 9: The Student Police Cadet (SPC) of the Government Upper Primary School, Barato visited the Barato Police Outpost in West Jaintia Hills today.
The visit aimed to provide students with a firsthand understanding of police operations and responsibilities.
Officer-in-charge Wilfred Jala, along with UBC Sihon Sumer and UBC Chisakwasa G Momin explained the primary duties of a Police Outpost, including maintaining law and order, patrolling jurisdictions, responding to emergencies, assisting the public, and conducting investigations.
The students also participated in a hands-on session, where MPRO operator Noel Biam demonstrated the handling of radio sets and their significance in police communication and message transmission.
