Shillong, Aug 10: The Indian Youth Congress (IYC), the youth wing of the Indian National Congress, announced its first-ever internal membership and organisational elections in Meghalaya on November 14.
The elections will be held at the assembly, district and state levels in Meghalaya.
All youth can register as members and candidates can enroll supporters as active members via the ‘With IYC’ mobile app.
Leaders will be determined based solely on their support within the organisation.
Zonal Returning Officers will be appointed at the district level to ensure open, transparent and fair elections.
Special provisions have been made to facilitate participation of women and marginalised sections of society.
