Shillong, Aug 9: Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre today hosted the grand prize distribution ceremony of the 51st annual cultural competition, bringing to a close over a month-long celebration of youthful talent, creativity, and cultural heritage.
Altogether 2,811 students from 82 schools across Shillong and neighbouring areas competed in a wide range of events spanning from nursery to college level.
At the concluding ceremony, 285 winners were honoured with trophies, certificates, and accolades.
Army Public School, Shillong, was adjudged the Overall Champion, while Pine Mount School bagged the Overall Runners-up title.
Speaking at the ceremony, East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Rosetta Mary Kurbah said the role of such competitions in nurturing the heart and soul and fostering cultural appreciation across India.
