A blood donation camp was organised by IIM Shillong as part of its ‘Sustainability Week’ initiatives under the theme “One donation saves three lives”.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the critical need for blood donations and encourage individuals to contribute towards this noble cause.
Altogether 81 donors from the institute stepped up to donate blood in a single day.
The blood donation camps were organized by the EcoBiz Club of IIM Shillong with the support of HDFC Bank and Pasteur Institute, Regional Blood Bank.
“The enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the participants underscore the deep commitment of the IIM Shillong community toward making a positive impact on society,” the institute said.
The camp was inaugurated by IIM Shillong Director Prof. D. P. Goyal. He said that the initiative not only saves lives but also demonstrates a shared commitment to fostering community welfare and health promotion.
