The 59 newly elected members of the State Legislative Assembly will be administered the oath of office tomorrow morning at the temporary Assembly building in Rilbong here.
Senior most MLA Timothy D. Shira who has been appointed as pro-tem Speaker will administer the oath to the 59 MLAs.
It may be mentioned that 37 sitting MLAs have been re-elected to the Assembly while 22 were newly elected.
Three women were also elected to the new House. They are Ampareen Lyngdoh and Santa Mary Shylla (NPP) and Miani D. Shira (Trinamool Congress).
The election to Sohiong constituency has been deferred due to the death of UDP candidate HDR Lyngdoh.
