Police in West Garo hills conducted a 12-hour long operation against drugs, arrested a suspected dealer and seized 5.58 grams of heroin.
West Garo Hills Superintendent of Police, Vivekanand Singh Rathore said the operation was conducted, based on credible information, by police from Araimile police station.
Besides heroin, 46 empty plastic vials, cash of Rs 200 and a mobile phone were seized from the accused identified as Sagar K. Marak (23), a resident of Robagre, Tura.
