The Garo Hills unit of the All Meghalaya 4th Teachers Association has stuck to its guns regarding its various demands of the state government.
Aggrieved teachers of various types had been called for a meeting with the state government on Monday.
The 4th teachers made it clear that they are resolute in demanding that the 1,521 4th teachers in the state are regularised, that they receive the same pay as other upper primary teachers and that a special MTET (Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test) be conducted for in-service teachers.
